Extra Ordinary

For the ‘Extra ordinary’ brief, the object I chose to celebrate was an onion. I chose this item as it is an everyday item that we use but take for granted. I experimented with lino printing for the first time and I really enjoyed the handmade and rustic feel it gives to the illustrations. I experimented with printing onto fabric, the outcome of this was successful so I decided to create some tote bags out of this material. After receiving feedback I experimented with adding some colour to my fabric prints. I decided to create a brand to make my products seem more realistic. The brand name I chose was ‘Humble Onion’. My brand’s goal is to support local food bank charities by creating fun and interesting products.
